We're doomed

Hatch has a prominent role in drafting new IP legislation -- takes the head of a Senate committee on IP. Now I've used the concept of him being a songwriter (since it is true) in my IP management class for the past few years -- and the students have always enjoyed this. But putting the person who put forward the Induct Act in charge? This is a horrible idea. One area where I agree with Lawrence Lessig is we cannot criminalize further activity surrounding IP, such that kids learn to ignore all IP law.

First ANWR, then IP. What a great Congress we have. . .
